Borderline is the only service in London dealing specifically with homeless and insecurely housed Scots in London. We offer support and advice with:

• Assessment and referrals to resettlement options such as hostels and supported housing in London and Scotland
• Professional housing and welfare benefits advice and advocacy
• Priority access to bedspaces with partner hostels in London
• Assessment and referrals to specialist drugs and alcohol agencies
• Supportive resettlement in Scotland
• Planned resettlement into longer-term accommodation
• Subsidised travel to help with resettlement, attending interviews for jobs or housing, and to visit family
• Subsidised birth certificates for proof of identity
• Assistance to approach grant givers for essential items to help furnish new accommodation, to assist with hardships and occasionally to help fund rent deposits
• Free telephone advice line

Our team works with agencies in London and Scotland to enable our clients to have access to as many opportunities as possible. As well as working with agencies in London we also work closely with Local Authorities and agencies across the whole of Scotland.

We ensure that we keep up to date with changes in housing policy and legislation in both England and Scotland.
