This year marks our 30th anniversary of supporting Scots in London to rebuild their lives. There have been many changes over the last three decades, including our strategic partnership with ScotsCare in 2010 to the launch of our Scottish Outreach Worker project in 2014, which has since expanded to two outreach workers as of 2018.
One thing that has not changed is the hardships faced by many Scots in the capital. Our dedicated services provide our clients with tailored one-to-one support to address their often complex support needs, from mental health issues to struggles with addiction. Our team works tirelessly for as long as we are needed to achieve positive outcomes for our clients over the long term, even after we have supported them into suitable housing.
Still the only charity specifically for homeless Scots, Borderline are now well recognised amongst services across London and we work closely with our partners (drop-in centres, street outreach teams and mental health services) to provide our clients the best possible support.
We hope to be able to mark this milestone and thank you in person in the near future. Meanwhile, keep an eye on social media for our 30 stories @ 30 years campaign.
