Fundraising update

The easing of lockdown raised the opportunity for supporters to take part in fundraising events again. This saw Alex, our Scottish Outreach Officer, run in the ASICS London 10k in July raising £1,364.

This year, we also had a participant, Russell Dalgleish, run the London Marathon on October 3rd for Borderline. Russell, who is the chair of the Scottish Business Network, raised an amazing £3,300 for the charity. Thank you to Alex and Russell for your efforts.

The Royal Scottish Country Dance Society also raised £1,000 at a ceilidh they held in September.

Our CEO Shona took part in the CEO Sleepout on November 22. The event encourages charity and business leaders to sleep outdoors to experience homelessness for one night and thereby raise awareness across their networks. This was the fourth time Borderline has been involved in the CEO Sleepout London event, with participants sleeping out remotely in their own gardens last year, due to Covid restrictions.

This year it was back in its usual location at Lord’s Cricket Ground. Shona took part in the sleepout with Borderline Chair Jessica Cadzow-Collins. Shona raised an amazing £1465, with Borderline set to receive more from the CEO Sleepout organisation.

Are you inspired by their efforts or have another fundraising idea? If so, please contact us at contact@borderline-uk.org to discuss or to find out more on how you can help.
