Covid-19 Statement
7th April 2020
As we react and adapt to the Coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak, we have been working hard to make sure that our service continues to run as smoothly as possible. Recent virus quarantine measures have meant that we have had to close our office and shift our operations to work remotely. We are all still answering helpline calls as soon as we can and responding to requests for help in the usual way.
Before our Outreach Workers began working remotely, they distributed phones to our clients to maintain contact, monitor their wellbeing and support them accordingly. We are also urgently liaising with our partner agencies across London to ensure all our clients are safely in appropriate accommodation and have access to food. Read Angus’s story to see how our outreach team are helping homeless Scots at this uncertain time.
It is an incredibly difficult situation for us all right now and one that could impact the homeless more than most. We will continue to adapt to the fast-moving situation in order to make sure our clients receive the support they need, but we cannot do this alone.
The individuals we help still need our ongoing support, and we rely on your generosity to provide a vital service at this time. On behalf of all our clients, thank you for any support you can give.
