Homeless Commemoration Mass

Homeless Commemoration Mass

On November 4th, people from across London gathered at the annual St. Martin-in-the-Fields Church Commemoration Service, to pay respects to all the homeless people that have sadly lost their lives throughout the year in London.

The service has been running for over 10 years, and Borderline staff attended again this year to remember.

At the service, both The Choir with No Name and Streetwise Opera gave performances. Later, the 116 names of those that passed away were read aloud, and tributes were paid to the characters, stories, and complex people behind the names.

CEO Shona Fleming remarked:

“It was a moving and beautiful tribute to those that face the end of their life without a home, and I thank the organisers for giving us the chance to remember and recognise them.”
