We would like to extend a personal thank you for your continued support of our charity; we are particularly appreciative of your help during the difficult circumstances of the pandemic. In the year since our last Easter Appeal in 2021 we ensured our services remained uninterrupted; whilst being delivered within the restrictive and often shifting government guidelines around the health crisis.
We are proud to inform you that despite the challenging circumstances, we have extended our services by developing a new one-to-one psychotherapy service for Borderline clients. The early successes of the psychotherapy service confirm our belief that those with extremely complex needs can achieve positive outcomes with intensive one-to-one support.
Our Scottish Outreach Workers, Alex and Patricia, have expanded their work with partnership agencies and the clients; to assess and support their readiness for one-to one sessions with the psychotherapist. This is to avoid inappropriate referrals and ensure each client is afforded optimum opportunities to realise successful interactions.
The new service costs £28,800 per year and will provide up to 48 weeks of trauma informed psychotherapy, that includes an initial stabilisation phase, followed by therapy, and finally a reintegration into the community phase.
We need your continued financial support to help us continue our work and to provide this new psychotherapy service to some of the most vulnerable Scots across London.
Our News and Media section has further details of this wonderful service; and an article about Kirsten, one of our clients who has realised positive benefits by attending these sessions.
On behalf of all our clients, we thank you for your support and wish you a very Happy Easter and spring.
